In continuation of our 2023 World menstrual hygiene Day activities, today we visited St. Paul’s Catholic church Umuitodo in Udenu Local Government Area in Enugu North senatorial zone in Enugu state, Nigeria.
We engaged both boys and girls. We still witnessed the naivety of the girls, lack of and no information and access to menstrual hygiene products at all. The outreach was worthwhile and they were very happy for the information they got on menstrual health education and there was distribution of Pads.
We call on well meaning Nigerians, Government and donor agencies to continue to support the commitment to end period poverty particularly in rural communities.
