We kick started our 2023 World menstrual hygiene Day activities on 26th of May with menstrual health education and distribution of pads in two schools in Enugu North senatorial zone ( Iheaka Girls in Igboeze South LGA and Community secondary school Umundu in Udenu both in Enugu state). The naivety of the girls, lack of information and access to menstrual hygiene products are a big source of concern in these communities. We call on well meaning Nigerians, Government and donor agencies to continue to support the commitment to end period poverty particularly in rural communities.
