Equity Watch Initiative embarked on sensitization/advocacy visit to Ministry of Youths and Sports, Enugu state. Matters bothering on focused attention on the young people particularly girls in rural communities in Nsukka with regards to menstrual health education and menstrual hygiene management, and prevention of violence against girls particularly sexual violence were discussed with the honorable Commissioner. The Ministry was sensitized about empowerment self defense. The Visit yielded positive results as Honorable Commissioner Lloyd Ekweremadu pledged to work closely with EQUITY WATCH INITIATIVE [E-WIN] in the sporting events organized by the ministry to propagate ESD skills towards preventing violence for all young people especially the girls.
