Strategic advocacy is the key to advancing GVB work in rural communities in Nigeria. EQUITY WATCH INITIATIVE [E-WIN]Equity Watch Initiative team met with the Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development @Hon. Ngozi Valentine Enih for increased attention on women and girls in rural communities in Enugu State. We had a robust conversation with her on how we can leverage Empowerment Self Defense to reduce VGWG in Enugu. We also drew the Honorable commissioner’s attention to the need to focus on proper Menstrual health education and menstrual hygiene management in rural communities in Enugu state.
