As the world celebrates the International Day of the Girl Child today, we are saddened to share that we were awakened this morning by a distress call of a dying girl seeking financial assistance for a surgery . Chinaza, a 16year old girl is in a pathetic condition as aresult of a hole in her heart that requires urgent surgery. In an interview with her poor mum, who is a window she said ” even if they sell me and my entire kindred, it will not be up to #12 million which is the cost of the surgery, It is very painful for me to watch her die”Today, as the global community has called on us to ” Invest in Girls’Rights, their leadership and Well-being.” Please let’s invest in this poor girl whose future is bleak.
