Equity Watch Initiative In Colaboration Girls Alliance Opportunity 2026
Equity Watch Initiative visited Four different Schools to provide support for students and also educate them.
We are excited that we have started the year with energy and great expectations even as we reflect on the last events that we conducted in December, 2025 that involved the disbursement of our educational support funds to eight adolescent girls in 4 schools in Enugu North senatorial zone, Enugu state and our strategic advocacy visit to Udenu LGA Chairman, Hon. Aka Eze Aka.
We raised the issue of the prevailing violence against women and girls, the upsurge of school dropout among girls, menstrual health issues, the increasing issues of trafficking in girls, women and girls’ political participation and leadership, the climate impact particularly on the girl child among others.
It was a call to action to the
local government area council to be more strategic in addressing the issues.
We are grateful to the principals and school managements for their cooperation and encouragement and we appreciate the Udenu LGA Chairman for his warm reception and support. It shows what happens when communities come together to impact. To Girls Opportunity Alliance , we say thank you for your support.
